The White House is taking a hard-line approach to reinvigorating the family game board game.
The government is attempting to use a “family friendly” board game that is meant for families to promote government-run healthcare and nutrition programs.
The move could be an attempt to get families on board with President Donald Trump’s administration.
The White, House said in a statement.
“It is important for families and children to have fun and engage in activities that enhance their quality of life,” the White House said.
“The administration is taking the family friendly family boardgame initiative seriously and working with our partners to encourage a more diverse board game landscape and promote more families.”
It is unclear if the White, Home and Government agencies have made any money from the board game in the past.
The announcement comes as Congress prepares to take up the budget next week, which will likely lead to a new round of funding cuts.
While the family version of the boardgame is intended to be played by family and children, a number of critics have voiced concerns that the game is too family-focused and that the White family, which owns the White house, is not providing enough support for families.
Trump has repeatedly questioned the board’s “family” appeal and has been pushing to overhaul the federal government’s welfare and child care programs.
He has also said the family is not doing enough to support working families.
“My family and I want our country to be a country of opportunity, and the White HOUSE is working with Congress to ensure that we continue to empower working families,” Trump said in March.
“We will also work with the Congress to create more opportunities for working families through programs like the family program.”
